To install the Pipette Extension into your IndySoft database simply run PipetteExtension.exe on a workstation that already has IndySoft version 12.2.10 or later installed. The install MUST be run on a workstation that already has the IndySoft client installed - since the install makes use of the IndySoft Export/Import system to import to the extension into the database.
Uninstall
Installation - Uninstall
The uninstall step (shown above) will only be displayed if you have previously installed the Pipette Extension on this workstation. The installation typically requires a full uninstall before the product can be re-installed. Note: the uninstall only applies to the setup files added locally during the install - the uninstall process does NOT remove any configuration from your IndySoft database. This will only take a few seconds, then the uninstall will be confirmed. Press 'Finish' then restart the installation, where you will see the Welcome screen below - which for new users is the first step seen:
Welcome

Installation - Welcome Screen
This Welcome screen simply reminds the user of the Pipette Extension Version. Confirm this information is correct and press 'Next' to proceed.
License Agreement

Installation - License Agreement
It would not be a software install without a license agreement... Confirm the License Agreement, check 'I accept...', then press 'Next' to proceed.
Choose Application Folder

Installation - Choose Application Folder
Use this installation step to confirm/select the folder where the Pipette Extension will be installed. By default the extension is installed to:
C:\Program Files\IndySoft
If you have a 32-bit install of IndySoft, you will typically need to change the install location to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\IndySoft
It is required that you select the directory where your IndySoft client is currently installed - since the Pipette install will need to launch the IndySoft Export/Import tool from this directory. Use the 'Browse' button to make an alternate selection if desired.
Choose Start Menu Group

Installation - Choose Start Menu Group
The installation of the Pipette Extension will create a program group on your Start Menu with the name specified in this step. A shortcut for launching the Pipette documentation will be created in this group. The shortcut/group can be created for all users on your computer or only for your current Windows user name.
Ready to Install
This step confirms that all selections/settings are in place and the installation is ready to begin copying files. Press 'Next' to proceed.
Installing Files
This step will be shown while all files are being copied to the installation directory (or other required locations). The progress bar will be updated as files are copied.
Pipette Configuration Automatic Import

Pipette Configuration Import Confirmation
Next, the IndySoft Export/Import tool will launch to import the Pipette configuration into your IndySoft database. The confirmation dialog above will appear prior to import - select "Yes' to proceed. If you select "Yes' you will then be prompted for IndySoft credentials.
Company Mapping

Company Mapping
The Pipette configuration includes some sample pipettes. By default these items are in 'ABC COMPANY' within the configuration file - but this company can be changed during import to a more appropriate company within your database. Make this selection and then press 'OK' to proceed. After you press 'OK' the import will proceed.
Configuration Import

Configuration Import
The Pipette configuration is then imported into the database. The progress bar should complete in just a few seconds - import utility will automatically close upon completion. Press 'Finish' in the main installation wizard to close/exit. You are now ready to run your IndySoft client and utilize the Pipette Extension.
