Change ID

This option is available from the Dashboard Interface Equipment View through the 'CHANGEID' hyperlink. You can also add a button to the equipment view header (can also be launched with CTRL+U):

Simply input the updated ID and press 'OK' to proceed. You can also modify the Company while you modify the ID.

Note: if you select an Company/ID combination that already exists in the database then you will be prompted to see if you would like to merge the assets:

Merge Assets Warning

When merging assets, the main equipment fields will be set to the 'to' asset (instead of the 'from' asset), but all historical events will be merged. Schedules will also be merged. If the 'from' and the 'to' asset both have the same schedule type, then the later schedule due date will be used. |
