On-Site Calibration

Calibration events can be launched by selecting "Events" on the main screen menu and then "Calibration." There are five steps included in the default Calibration event:

  1. Event Information:

    2. Documents

    3. Service/Repair Parts

    4. Specify Standards

    5. Calibration Results

This is all the pertinent or required information that will allow you to complete the event.

Note: The following information must be visible on the Event Information view to print a certificate for the calibration. If you do not have all the required information filled in, you will be prompted to do so before completing the event.

  1. Cert. Type.

    2. Cert. Number.

    3. Vendor.

    4. Result.

    5. Completed. (This will occur when the event is completed.)

  2. Event Information:

Click "Next" and proceed to the 2nd screen.

  1. Document Information:

Documents are carried forward into the event if you have inserted them on the Equipment layout screen under the Calibration Info Tab. You can also add them on the fly by clicking the "Add New" icon at the top left of the screen. The following dialog box will appear:

Click "OK," and the document will be added to the event.

You can scan documents by selecting the Event Docs or Certs radio buttons. When you do, the dialog box shown below will appear. You can attach the document from a file or scan it right there.

Click "Next" and proceed to the 3rd screen.

  1. Service/Repair Parts:

    These can be added here or from the equipment view screen. Any charges or parts linked from a template may also be added.

Service/Repair Parts could include charges for batteries or fuses and replacement parts to repair the calibrated item.

The Charges tab is used to associate charges for labor-related fees, such as calibration charges or labor hours for

  1. Specify Standards:

    These can be added here or from the main screen under the Calibration Info Tab. Click the binoculars icon _img131and choose the Standard from one of the choices listed.

Click "Next" and proceed to the 4th screen.

  1. Calibration Results:

    Select the result by dragging the slider bar up or down. The screen below will show if you have no test point data on the main screen.

If you are using test point data on the main screen, the below screen will be used. In this case, you would enter the test results in the "As Found" column. When completed, click "Finish."

When the test is complete, click "Finish," you will be prompted to mark the event as "Complete." If you cannot complete the event, saying "No" will mark the event as "Incomplete" and take you back to the main screen. You can always return later and finish the event by double-clicking the highlighted "Incomplete" blue marker in the History grid. |
