Finding a Kit I.D.

To locate a kit by ID, select the 'Search By...Kit I.D.' from the Kitting Module's main menu. The following dialog will appear:

As you type in this dialog, the Kit IDs listed in the grid will incrementally filter to match your typed text. To select a record in the grid, use the up and down arrows on your keyboard, or select with the mouse. To confirm the Kit I.D. selection, press Return with your keyboard, or press the OK button. The kit will then be looked up on the Kitting Module main screen. Press 'Cancel' to exit the Search without looking up a kit.

Note: this search window will follow the same rules for 'When First Displaying Search By' Lists, Show All Items,' 'Optimize Search Bys for Wide Area Network,' 'Stagger Interval for SearchBys - in milliseconds,' 'Maximum # of Gages [Kits] to Retrieve' and 'Minimum Number of Characters for Search Bys,' as setup in the User/Location Settings screen in IndySoft. If you need a list of all equipment, right-click and select 'Print Grid' before entering any search characters. This will allow you to get a report of all kits in the system. |
