Setting Disk Module

The Setting Disc Module Wizard
This wizard is used to quickly enter the calibration setup for a setting disc. There are five steps involved in setting up a setting disc. Below is an example of setting up a Y class #3 Style setting disc with a size of 1.0000 cm.

Step 1 - Specify Setting Disc Class and Style

Choose the class of the setting disc and its style; in this example, you should choose 'Y' as the Class and '#3' as the Style. If there are any formula calculations to perform when calibrating the setting disc, you can place an IndySoft calibration formula in the Formula field. In this example, we will leave the field blank. Press the Next button to proceed to the next step.

Step 3 - Specify Any Suffixes To Be Added To Each Test Point

This feature is used when your company checks the accuracy of each setting disc more than once. For this example, we must check the setting disc only once, so nothing will be entered during this step. Press the Next button to proceed to the next step.

Step 4 - Specify Test Point Prefix Information

When building the test point description, the standard value for each setting disc is added as a prefix. By specifying the resolution for the prefix, you can adjust how the standard is displayed. For this example, we will leave the default resolution at 6. This resolution will produce .010000 as the prefix of the 1st test point. If the prefix resolution were 4, the prefix resolution would be .0100. If you don't want the test point prefix to appear, select the Exclude Prefix checkbox. If the style of the setting disc is #2 and you don't want the Go / No Go identifier to be added to the Test Point Prefix, select the Exclude Go/No Go Labels checkbox. Press the Next button to proceed to the last step.
