HW4 Temperature/RH Application
The HW4 application will need to be set up according to the HW4 help guide and log the data to a Text file with the extension of .xls (you set the file type inside of HW4). You will need to note where the log file is located and what it is called before you can run this utility.
When the utility is launched, it will minimize the tray as an icon. Double-click the icon so you will see the following screen:
The Browse button will allow you to navigate to the file the HW4 application has created and is logging the data to. You will need to navigate to that log file, and the software will validate the file to be certain you selected the correct file. A warning will be displayed if the file cannot be read. Once the file has been selected, the value will be saved, so there will be no need to set it up each time you run the utility.
After the user and the utility select the file that validates the data is correctness, it will display the device name, the most recent temperature, humidity, time of reading, and the polling interval.
Once you see that the most current readings are displayed, you can click the Hide button to minimize the utility back to the system tray.
If the log file is moved, you will need to open the logging utility by double-clicking the icon in the system tray and changing the file path. You will then need to click Save so the file path will be saved to the registry, and there will not be a need to select it again.
The exit button will close the utility completely. |
