Event Steps - Event Information
The 'Event Information' event step appears if the 'Event Information' event step has been selected for the current event type through the Event Configuration Wizard (see the Event Configuration - Event Step section for more details).

Event Steps - Event Information
The Event Information step can be used to enter basic information about the event: when, where, etc. When the Event Information screen is resized, the widths of the edit controls are also resized to allow the maximum amount of entry space given the width of the event window. Also, all edit controls are grouped vertically, in columns of 2, and centered vertically on the event window. If the comments field is visible, then the comments field will automatically size to fill the rest of the event window not required by the other edit controls. Thirty pieces of information could potentially be displayed on the Event Information tab. The relative positions of these fields, as well as display captions, can be changed in the Work Flow Configuration Wizard (see the Work Flow Configuration - Field Settings section for more details) :
Employee
Who is performing the event. Note**:** If you have selected 'Show Employee, With Image' in the Left Panel, the Employee field under Event Information will not be visible. Both fields work in the same manner for documentation, etc...
Date
Date of the current event (automatically entered by IndySoft when the event is started).
Time
Time of the current event (automatically entered by IndySoft when the event is started).
Vendor
Outside or in-house vendor performing the event. This value can be automatically entered based on the last event of this event type performed. See Work Flow Configuration - Miscellaneous for more details.
Vendor Contact
Contact person within outside or in-house vendor performing event.
Work Order
Work Order number for the current event. This number can be matched to IndySoft 's work
order system.
P.O. Number
Purchase Order associated with the current event.
Department
Department performing the current event. This value can be automatically entered based on the last event of this event type performed. See Work Flow Configuration - Miscellaneous for more details.
Location (Crib)
The new crib location is being set by this event. If this information needs to change the actual gage status, this should be set up in the Work Flow Configuration Wizard.
Sub-Location (Bin)
The new bin location is being set by this event. If this information needs to change the actual gage status, this should be set up in the Work Flow Configuration Wizard.
Workstation
The workstation name where this event is performed.
Machine
The machine that is relevant for this event.
Total Parts Checked
Total parts checked as a result of this event. The number of parts designated can be used when calculating the due date of equipment scheduled by the accumulation of parts. See the Work Flow Configuration - Schedule Updates section for more details.
Cost
The cost of the current event.
Total Time
Total time to perform the current event. If an event timer is used, and this field is left blank, then this field will be automatically updated with the time listed on the event timer when the event is completed. If there is a discrepancy between the two times, the user will be asked to designate the appropriate value.
Expected Return
Expected time that the current equipment should be returned if it is being checked out.
Condition
The general condition of the equipment at the time of the event. Note: you can also specify the condition of each piece of equipment if this event is performed on multiple pieces. See the Event Tabs - Choose Equipment section for more details.
Completed
Whether the current event is complete or incomplete, if an event is incomplete, then upon pressing the 'Finish' button, the user will be asked whether the current event should be marked as incomplete. Also, if the 'Sign Offs' tab is being used, the 'Sign Offs' tab will take control of setting the Completed value.
Result
For most events, it is simply whether this event passed or failed. You can also specify 'ROV,' 'Adjusted,' or 'Limited' for calibration-type events. See the Work Flow Configuration - Miscellaneous section to specify calibration type result options.
User Defined 1-10
A custom field per event type. The Work Flow Configuration Wizard can select the caption and drop-down type. See the Work Flow Configuration - Miscellaneous section for more details.
Temperature
The temperature at the time of the event. Note: IndySoft can interface with external data logging hardware for automatically updating room temperature and humidity into IndySoft events. See IndySoft's External Temperature/RH Logging Utility for more details.
Temp. Type
Whether the temperate is taken in Fahrenheit or Celsius.
Relative Humidity
The relative humidity at the time of the event. Note: IndySoft can interface with external data logging hardware for automatically updating room temperature and humidity into IndySoft events. See IndySoft's External Temperature/RH Logging Utility for more details.
Cert. Type
The certificate template will be used to create a certificate upon event completion. The 'Cert. Type', 'Cert. Number', 'Vendor,' and 'Completed' fields must be visible and populated before generating a certificate. The value of this field defaults to the 'Cert. Template' value on the 'Calibration Info.' tab on the IndySoft main screen. If this field on the main screen is blank, then this value can be automatically entered based on the last event of this event type performed. Comments
General comments or miscellaneous information about the current event. Comments can also be displayed on a separate event tab if more space is needed. See the Event Steps - Comments section for more details.
Cert. Number
The certificate number should be used when a certificate is generated upon completion of this event.
Barometric Pressure
The barometric pressure at the time of the event.
BP Type
The unit of measure for the barometric pressure reading. These units are taken from the Add/Edit...System-Wide...Units of Measure listing.
Branch
The related branch for the current event. These branches can be edited from Add/Edit...Companies...Companies, but are filtered only to show companies that have the 'Branch' checkbox ON.
Start Date
The start date for the event. Note that including this field along with 'Event Date' allows you to have one field for the start and a second field for the finish.
Start Time
The start time for the event. Note that including this field along with 'Event Time' allows you to have one field for the start and a second field for the finish.
Incomplete Event Status
This field can be used to explain why the event is currently incomplete (if applicable). There are two hardcoded values of 'AWAITING SIGN OFF' and 'IN PROCESS.' Additional values/statuses can be set up from the 0 list type on Workflow Configuration - Event Lists.
Location (From)
The From location, if the asset is being moved during the event. This location is selected from the locations specified in the Add/Edit...System-Wide...Location Tree Editor.
Location (To)
The To location, if the asset is being moved during the event. This location is selected from the locations specified in the Add/Edit...System-Wide...Location Tree Editor.
As Found Result
The As Found Result for the event. The options in the drop-down match those in the Result field. This value is most specific - the result As Found.
As Left Result
The As Left Result for the event. The options in the drop-down match those in the Result field. This value is most specific - the result As Left.
Productivity Tip
Remember that the security settings in Profile Manager can control all Event Information fields.
