Setting-Up/Using Single-User Auto Configuration Update

To set up Single-User Auto Configuration Updates (only applicable to Single-User installations), go to Auto-Update Settings. You will see the section below:

Auto-Update Settings 2023-05-12 at 11.12.13 AM

To turn off the auto-updates, select the top radio button for 'Disable Automatic Single-User Configuration Updates.' Select the 'Enable Web Update...' or 'Enable File Update...' options to run on the option. For web updates, specify the HTTP location for the configuration update files. For file updates, specify the UNC path to the configuration update files.

Once this is set up, IndySoft will check this directory for zip configuration files upon login. If files are found, the date/time of the import will be compared to the date/time of the last auto-configuration update (saved to the registry). If a new import is found, the user will be alerted that an update is about to be imported:

Note: the user can select 'No' to skip the import, but they will be prompted again upon subsequent logins to IndySoft, as long as the automatic Single-User update settings are in place in Auto-Update Settings (and as long as the update files exist in the network location). If the user selects 'Yes,' the import will automatically run to completion. Upon completion, the user's login to IndySoft is completed as normal. |
