Additional Charges Settings

Auto-Add of Charges From Estimates

These settings control how estimates (if used) are first checked for charges. The estimating system is always checked first for charges - if estimate charges are found, then charges are NOT added from the equipment or linked-template levels.

Include All Discounts in Charge Amounts - Not as Separate Items

Use this setting if you prefer discounts to be added as separate charge items, not simply included as a reduction in the charge amount.

Require At Least 1 Charge (Of Any Type) Before Event Completion

This is like an Event Completion Rule - the event cannot be completed until at least one charge has been added. We don't work for free, right?

Require At Least 1 Charge From An Estimate Before Event Completion

This option is like the one above but requires that at least one charge from a linked estimate is present before the event is completed.

Show When Selecting Event Types for Scheduled Work Items In the Order System

This option is related to selecting an event type from within Scheduled Work Items in the Order System. You might have dozens of events in the Workflow Configuration - but only certain event types would be appropriate choices when prompting for events to associate with a Scheduled Work item. Typically these would be your service-related billable event types. If this option is unchecked, then the event type will be hidden.
