Kitting Header Panel

The header panel on the main Kitting screen provides access to several common operations:

Kitting Header Panel

| Bookmark Kit - Press this button to bookmark the currently selected kit. You can then navigate to other kits in the database (using the 'Search By' menu options) and quickly return to the saved kit by pressing this 'Bookmark Kit' button. You will note that the button appears in a 'down' state when a bookmark is in memory.

| New Kit - Press this button to create a new kit for the selected company. See the How to Add a Kit section for more details.

| Save Kit - Commits any changes to the current kit into the IndySoft database.

| Cancel Kit Modifications - Cancels any changes to the current kit. Note: this only affects 'Kit Info' (not 'Kit Contents' or 'Kit Associations').

| Refresh Kit Information - Refreshes the 'Kit Status' on the right side of the Kitting Header Panel ('Checked In' - in the above image) and refreshes the Kit History grid to show the latest activity on the current kit. Normally it will not be necessary to press this button, as the Kitting Module will automatically update itself whenever an event is performed in IndySoft.

| Help - Launches this help file. Company Drops Down - All kits (like equipment) in IndySoft belong to a Company/Plant/Library. Select the appropriate company from this dialog. Note: this company selection will automatically filter all the equipment in the 'Search By' menus on the Kitting Module main screen.

Kit Status Text - 'Unique Kits' can have one of 4 statuses: 'Checked-In,' 'Checked-Out,' 'Checked-In*,' and 'Checked-Out*.' This status is automatically updated due to kit selection within IndySoft events. If the last IndySoft event performed was a Check-In event, the kit will have one of the corresponding statuses. The same is true for Check-Out events. The * will be present if the Check-In/Check-Out was only performed on some equipment, leaving some checked in and some checked out. If events are performed on the part of a kit without using the Kit ID to perform the event, these statuses can get out of sync. If that happens, select 'Options: Reset Kit to Checked In' from the menu to restore the kit to the Checked-In state.
